MONDAY 16TH APRIL - WELCOME TO ISTANBUL
    Welcome to Istanbul, a city steeped in history! You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Tonight get to know your travelling companions and meet your guide. Overnight Istanbul

TUESDAY 17TH APRIL - ISTANBUL OLD CITY
    After breakfast, enjoy a fully guided tour of Istanbul – once known as the former imperial capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. We visit the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, soak in the Sultan’s opulence at Topkapi Palace and explore the Hippodrome.Overnight Istanbul (B)

WEDNESDAY 18TH APRIL - ANKARA, CAPPADOCIA
    This morning we leave Istanbul and head towards the capital city of Ankara. Here we visit Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of famed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. With Ankara behind us, we head for the surreal moonscape of Cappadocia. Overnight Cappadocia (B, D)

THURSDAY 19TH APRIL - GOREME, UNDERGROUND CITY
    Goreme is a magical little village set amid the surreal Cappadocia landscape. Fully guided, explore the underground city where early Christians escaped the persecution of the Romans by hiding in the intricate network of caves. Marvel at the ingenuity of the early settlers who hand-carved their homes into the volcanic rock and created the regions infamous fairy chimneys and Uchisar Castle. Tonight, don't miss the optional Turkish Folklore evening featuring belly dancers... a night you won't forget! Overnight Cappadocia (B, D)

FRIDAY 20TH APRIL - KONYA, CARAVANSARY
    Leaving Cappadocia we follow the ancient traders footsteps & head south along the Silk Road. On route we visit Sultanhani Caravansary, before stopping at Konya to tour the Mevlana Museum. Overnight Pamukkale (B, D)

SATURDAY 21ST APRIL - PAMUKKALE, HIERAPOLIS
    A great day ahead visiting the magnificent white calcium terraces (cotton castles) in Pamukkale. where you can take a dip, amongst ancient columns, in the hot springs that were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers. Later we tour the ancient city of Hierapolis. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

SUNDAY 22ND APRIL - EPHESUS, SIRINCE, KUSADASI
    Today, step back in time, with a guided tour of the ancient city of Ephesus & a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Explore this stunningly preserved city and learn about its past as a major trading centre. Discover the place where the Virgin Mary spent her last days. Visit a rug maker & find out about the local craft Turkey is famous for – carpet weaving. In the afternoon we visit Sirince, a former Greek village famous for its fruit wines. MONDAY 23RD APRIL - ACROPOLIS OF PERGAMUM
    This morning we will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before heading north along the Aegean coast towards the WWI battlefields of Gallipoli. Along the way we will visit the magnificent Acropolis of Pergamum, its impressive temples and library that made Pergamum a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. Overnight Ayvalik (B, D)

TUESDAY 24TH APRIL - TROY
    Today we visit the archaeological ruins of Troy, home of the famed Trojan horse. We then cross the Dardanelles, arriving at Gallipoli Peninsula before heading straight to Anzac Cove to secure a good spot on the grass. Overnight ANZAC Cove (B, L)

WEDNESDAY 25TH APRIL
ANZAC DAY AT GALLIPOLI

    On this special day we commemorate our fallen forefathers at the ANZAC Dawn Service. We also attend the Australian &/or New Zealand Memorial services before returning to our hotel for some well deserved rest. Overnight Guzelyali (D)

THURSDAY 26TH APRIL - GALLIPOLI
    After breakfast we drive to Gallipoli Peninsula. Here, we’ll embark upon a guided tour of the region,including ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian War Memorial and cemetery, Chunuk Bair New Zealand War Memorial and cemetery, the Nek, Johnston’s Jolly and the many fortified trenches. Drive to Istanbul for an overnight stay. Overnight Istanbul (B, L)

FRIDAY 27TH APRIL - ISTANBUL
    After breakfast, our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
