    After breakfast, enjoy a fully guided tour of Istanbul – once known as the former imperial capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. We visit the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, soak in the Sultan’s opulence at Topkapi Palace and explore the Hippodrome. Tonight enjoy a delicious welcome meeting with your fellow travellers. GALLIPOLI, BATTLEFIELDS
    Early morning departure, headed towards the WW1 battlefields of Gallipoli. Our guided tour of the area will cover ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Australian War Memorial & cemetery, Chunuk Bair New Zealand War Memorial & cemetery, the Nek, Johnston’s Jolly and the many fortified trenches still clearly visible amongst the scrub after all these years. TROY, ACROPOLIS OF PERGAMUM
    Enjoy the wonderful scenary as we travel south to the archaeological ruins of Troy, home of the famed Trojan horse. We also visit the magnificent Acropolis of Pergamum, Asia Minor’s former political powerhouse, although now a laid-back market town packed with ancient sites. Visit the impressive temples and library and interesting remains. Later we travel to the resort town of Kusadasi. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

EPHESUS, KUSADASI
    Today, step back in time, with a guided tour of the ancient city of Ephesus & a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Explore this stunningly preserved city and learn about its past as a major trading centre. Discover the place where the Virgin Mary spent her last days. Visit a rug maker & find out about the local craft Turkey is famous for – carpet weaving. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)

KUSADASI TO SAMOS
    Leaving Turkey, we take a ferry to the lush-green island of Samos and, depending on ferry schedules, we may head straight for Mykonos or spend the day exploring this surprisingly refreshing gem of an island. Overnight Samos or Mykonos (B)

MYKONOS, DELOS
    Spend the day on the beach or take an optional day trip to the neighbouring island of Delos. This Mecca of Ancient Greece is today an island wide, open-air museum. Overnight Mykonos (B)

MYKONOS TO SANTORINI
    Revitalize with an early morning swim and wander the charming white-washed and cobbled narrow alleyways of Mykonos Town before an afternoon ferry to Santorini. Overnight Santorini (B)

SANTORINI TO ATHENS
    Drink in the sun on the black sand beaches before we board an afternoon ferry to the mainland. Overnight Athens (B)

ATHENS OLD CITY
    This morning, we explore the Acropolis with a half-day tour and visit the stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern world were held. Admire the Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch as well as the most famous of Greek relics, the Parthenon. Overnight Athens (B)

    After breakfast, our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
