Day 1 - Cairo (Saturday)
Welcome to Egypt and the start of your family holiday! Arrive Cairo, included transfer to hotel where your tour leader will help you settle in.

Day 2 - Cairo - breakfast
Our adventure starts with an exploration of the pyramids and Sphinx at Giza Plateau, followed by a trot into the Arabian sands on camel back. Later we see the treasures of King Tutankhamen, mummies and more at the Egyptian Museum.

Day 3 - Cairo - Aswan - breakfast
Today we venture to old Islamic Cairo for visits to the fortressed Citadel then onto the bustling Khan el-Khalili bazaar, Cairo's largest and most eclectically mixed street market. Later this evening we take the comfortable overnight sleeper train to Aswan including dinner.

Day 4 - Aswan - breakfast
Arrival to Aswan and hotel check in, a day free to explore the Nubian city of Aswan or relax and let the kids frolic in the hotel pool. Stunningly situated right on the Nile, your tour leader will take you on a walk along the river corniche to view the many sailing felucca's and and evening walk through the Nubian flavoured bazaar is a real treat.

Day 5 - Aswan - breakfast
This morning you can opt for the early morning excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel or relax at the hotel. This afternoon, we undertake a cruise around some of the islands located on the Nile, stopping at Sahal island where we mount our trusty donkey's to visit the local village and school. Whilst on the island we will enjoy sunset and dinner in the home of an Nubian family.

Day 6 - Aswan - Luxor - breakfast
A free morning to enjoy our hotel facilities until this afternoon’s departure by train north to Luxor. One of the world’s greatest open-air museums, the 4000 year old site of ancient Thebes known today as Luxor, is our base for next three days. An evening walk through Luxor's cotton and silver markets and in one of the many nile side cafe's.

Day 7 - Luxor - breakfast
This morning, we visit Karnak Temple. More than a temple, Karnak is a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, pylons, statuettes and obelisks. Built on a grand scale, Karnak is probably Egypt’s finest ancient temple. This afternoon time to wander along Luxor's historic waterfront or enjoy our hotel swimming pool. Later this evening, we travel in horse-drawn carriages to the illuminated Temple of Luxor where we enjoy a tour in the cool evening air. Rest of evening free.

Day 8 - Luxor - Cairo - breakfast
Rise and shine! Today, we visit Luxor’s legendary West Bank, home to the famous Valleys of the Kings and Queens, the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon. See how the ancient Egyptians confounded tomb robbers with the construction of elaborate catacombs once filled with treasures and highly decorated to allow the pharaoh passage to the afterlife. Returning to Luxor, enjoy free time. Tonight, we return to Cairo by overnight sleeper train, with dinner.

Day 9 - Cairo - breakfast
A free day to enjoy Cairo your way, there is plenty more things to see and do in this magical city. Your trustly tour leader will be on hand to offer some suggestions.

Hotel check-out and included onward transfer to airport.
