Travelling in Turkey by gulet is an idyllic way to while away some time viewing a huge amount of the scenic Turkish coast line, visiting fascinating ports, exploring little known islands and many historic sites. A Gulet is a wooden hulled old fashioned Turkish motorised sailing vessel similar to a yacht - normally the gulet is a crewed vessel and cruises between ports on or around the Aegean or Mediterranean seas near Turkey.

Life on a Blue Cruise

Snorkelling, cabin charter, delicious food (normally Turkish) is included, beautiful sunsets, sunbathing, chill out. Depending on who shares the gulet with you, you could make new friends, have an onboard party, join in a night swim, star watch on deck or just relax.

In some ways a blue voyage is like a full board hotel where every cabin has private facilities "the heads" and a sea view, blue voyage rules generally mean that you do have to buy your drinks on board. The scenery changes as you travel. We can't guarantee the weather so chill out and enjoy the friendship or backgammon if the weather is inclement but during the summer you will probably want to sleep on deck.
