Drive along the beautiful coastal road of Attica will take you to its most southerly spot to yet another impressive historical site, Cape Sounion, with the Sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon, the God of the Sea. High on the cliff, majestically overlooking the Aegean Sea, stand several columns of the former Temple. One has a breathtaking view from here; on clear days, you can see several islands. After the guided visit, there will be plenty of time for memorable photos from the site.

Driving through the fertile plain of Boeotia, we cross the towns of Thebes, connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus, then Levadia and Arachova, with a short stop on the way back. We arrive at Delphi, the center of Ancient world ' the Omphalos (Navel of Earth) whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic World. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. We'll visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. After lunch in the modern village of Delphi, we return to Athens by the same route.

A drive through lush green mountainous areas takes you to Epidaurus, Nauplia and Mycenae.
We'll leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, where we'll have a short stop. We'll continue our drive to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides ' the city rich in gold and home of the ancient poets. We'll visit the Lion's Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Royal Tombs, and others. Afterward, we pass through the fertile plain of Argolis, and arrive at the picturesque town of Nauplion, nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. Later in the afternoon, we head for Epidauros to visit the Theater (4th century B.C), famous for its astonishing acoustics. We return to Athens via the national road connecting Epidauros with Corinth. Lunch in Mycenae or in Nauplio.

This is an opportunity to view the incredible Corinth Canal and to explore the historic sites of beautiful Corinth.
We'll leave Athens and drive southwest until we reach the Corinth Canal, connecting the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. We'll have a short stop here to view this amazing site. The tour continues with a drive to visit the ancient town of Corinth, where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. The remains of the city, which include the Agora (market place) and Apollo's Temple (6th century B.C.) clearly show how rich and important Corinth was in ancient times. There will be a short stop at the site of the Ancient Port of Cehries, where St. Paul disembarked. Return to Athens.
