An opportunity to sail and explore the mysterious caldera!
We'll start the day on the bus to Athinios port, where we will board the beautiful traditional boat 'King Thiras,' our host for the day. Our first stop will be the lava islet Nea Kameni. We leave the boat and walk an ascending soil path to approach the crater of the still active Volcano. Afterward, we sail to the second lava islet called Palea Kameni, where we find the incredible Hot Springs. We'll have about half an hour to swim in the green sulphur waters, or to bathe in the therapeutic mud. Next, we leave for the lovely tiny island of Thirassia, where we'll have a stay of about two hours. This will give you an opportunity to both swim at the beach near the port, and to explore the lovely town and its surroundings. When we re-board the boat, we'll begin to head in the direction of Oia, coming close to the caldera cliffs, so you will have the chance to take some superb photos. The colors and formations of the cliffs are impressive. As the boat approaches Oia, we can see its white houses built on top of the red cliffs, resembling spread snow. Here we have some excellent views of this picturesque village. The boat will continue to sail toward the port of Fira, where you can see the town clinging to the edge of the cliff, the cable car, the whitewashed houses and churches, the narrow twisting alleyways, and the laboring donkeys. We'll dock at Athinios port, where we board the buses for our return.
Notes: Thick-soled shoes are suggested for our visit to the volcano. And don't forget your bathing suit!

A superb visit to traditional villages, ending with Sunset in Oia!
Our first visit will be at the oldest church on the island, Panagia Episkopi, built during the rule of the Byzantine Emperor, Alexios Komninos, in the 11th Century AD. Next we'll visit Mesa Gonia ' the 'ghost' village that was deserted after the earthquake of 1956 and now it is rarely inhabited. We'll explore and photo some of the ruined houses and the old churches. Then we'll visit the beautiful traditional village of Pyrgos. A walk through its narrow, winding streets provides the opportunity to admire the traditional Cycladic architecture and the fine old houses; and to visit the Byzantine churches and the remains of the Venetian castle on the hilltop. On our way to Oia, we'll stop at the idyllic village of Imerovigli. It is built along the edge of the caldera wall, at its highest point, from which you can enjoy the most wonderful view to the caldera. There we also find Skaros, a prominent craggy rock and remnant of the most important castle on the island. The capital of Santorini for many centuries, it was destroyed by the volcanic eruption of 1650 AD. Then we will follow the road, with its breathtaking views, to reach the traditional village of Oia. The village is built along the rim of the caldera. The whitewashed houses, with arches and colorful doors and windows, are carved out of the cliffs, reminding one of eagles' nests. You will certainly enjoy the astonishing panoramic view of the caldera, the volcano, Thirassia island, and the rest of Santorini looking back toward Fira. Oia is famous as a gathering place for artists, whose works of art have been inspired by the beauty of the landscape, and many of which are exhibited in small galleries in the village. Oia is also known for its magnificent purple sunsets. While the sun sinks into the sea, splendid colors spread throughout the sky, and serenity fills the heart. You can enjoy a drink on a terrace of a cozy coffee shop and gaze at the caldera as the sky changes colors. Fifteen minutes after the sunset, we'll return to the village square and board the buses for our return to your original departure point.

A romantic evening cruise, with the Sunset over the Caldera, and with dinner onboard!
This certainly has to be one of the best dinner cruises anywhere in the world! We'll travel by bus to Athinios port, where we will board the beautiful traditional boat 'King Thiras.' The captain and crew will welcome us onboard, and we'll begin our evening with a welcome drink, while the sun begins to create its magical shadows on the white houses of Fira and Oia, and the golden sea splashes against the ruddy cliffsides of the ancient crater. This feast of colors is perfectly harmonized with the pleasant music on the ship. We'll have the chance to take outstanding photos of this grand spectacle, while dinner is being prepared. The ship aims its prow at the huge purple disc of the sun, until it melts into the waters below the horizon. While the sun is fading away, we approach Oia, and we can see the first twinkling lights high atop the cliffs. Onboard, we'll enjoy good food and drink, and lovely music and dancing. We approach Athinios port, where the captain and the crew will say goodbye, then we board the bus for our return to town. The experience is over, but the memory will remain in your mind forever.
Notes: Welcome drink and buffet dinner on board are included
