ANZAC Corporal Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a fully guided tour of Istanbul, the only city in the world that spans two continents. Visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace (including Hagia Irene and the Harem), then see the historic Hippodrome and browse the vibrant Grand Bazaar. This evening, you can join an optional Turkish folklore show for a fun cultural night out.

April 24 schedule note: Today’s program is subject to official ANZAC Day restrictions. In some years, site access and guided visits at Gallipoli can be limited or canceled at short notice if high-level dignitaries (such as the Prime Minister or government ministers) are attending. If tours are permitted: We’ll depart Istanbul early morning for a short complimentary Gallipoli orientation tour, then take the ferry to Çanakkale to check into our hotel and rest. Around midnight, we return by ferry and continue to ANZAC Cove, arriving at approximately 1:00 AM to secure our overnight spot ahead of the Dawn Service. If tours are not permitted: We’ll travel directly to Çanakkale to rest at the hotel, then depart for Gallipoli in the evening to ensure a strong position at ANZAC Cove for the overnight vigil and Dawn Service.

Wake up before sunrise for the moving ANZAC Day Dawn Service at ANZAC Cove. As the ceremony begins, the profound silence and atmosphere create a powerful moment of remembrance to honor those who served and sacrificed. After the service, you’ll have the opportunity to attend either the Australian or New Zealand National Memorial Service, before returning to the hotel in the afternoon for a well-earned rest.

You’ll also stop at a traditional carpet weaving village to see how Turkish rugs are handmade and learn what determines their quality and value. Later, continue to charming Şirince, a former Greek hillside village known for its fruit wines, with time to sample and explore.

Afterward, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul.
